Spooky Car Wash Experience Returns Across Michigan

This Halloween season, Michigan residents looking for a unique fright can turn to Tommy's Express for a different kind of thrill. The Holland-based car wash company is bringing back its popular Tunnel of Terror event, transforming 15 of its locations across the state into haunted attractions, complete with costumed employees, eerie soundtracks, and jump scares—all from the comfort and safety of your own vehicle.

About the Tunnel of Terror Event

The Tunnel of Terror offers participants a three-minute spooky car wash experience. Drivers remain inside their vehicles while they encounter a mix of Halloween scares and cleaning services. The event runs on select dates through October 31, 2026, providing both excitement and convenience during the Halloween season.

Family-Friendly Considerations

While many families might be interested in a Halloween car wash, Tommy's Express notes that Tunnel of Terror may not be suitable for young children or individuals who scare easily. The experience features jump scares, costumed employees, and spooky music, which could be too intense for some participants. The company suggests parents use their best judgment when deciding whether to bring children, as some locations may offer a more child-friendly atmosphere than others.
